Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) - Uzbekistan in the first half of 2018 will purchase 5,778 units of machinery for the needs of agriculture.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed on January 4 a resolution "On additional measures to further improve the technical equipment of agriculture."

The resolution notes that the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources jointly with OJSC "Uzagrotechsanoatholding" determined the primary need for the supply of modern arable and cultivating tractors, combine harvesters, plows, seeders and other agricultural machinery for the spring agronomic works in 2018, in the amount of only 5 778 units of machinery, including 758 arable, 1,500 cultivating tractors, 330 horticultural tractors. 2 790 units of mounted and towed agricultural machinery, as well as the beginning of harvesting of grain crops, - 400 combine harvesters.

In particular, it is planned to purchase tractors John Deere, Belarus, T-7060, T-6070, grain harvesters CASE, Vector, Dominator 130, plows, seeders, sprayers, cultivators, etc.

The delivery of agricultural equipment is carried out at the expense of credits of JSCB Agrobank, own funds of farms and machine and tractor fleet, as well as loans provided to machine and tractor fleet of Uzagrotechsanoatholding and Uzagroservice.

The head of Uzbekistan recommended that Agrobank issue credits to farms and machine and tractor fleet that are part of JSC Uzagroservice for a period of 10 years at a rate of 5 percent per annum under security (bailment, pledge of property) of Uzagrotechsanoatholding and organizations in its composition.

JSCB "Agrobank" and JSC "Uzagroservice" at the expense of received funds, not later than January 20, 2018, is entrusted to advance the organizations of JSC "Uzagrotechmash" in the amount of not less than 70 percent of the value of agricultural equipment specified in this resolution for production and supplies for the operational organization of production agricultural machinery, including the acquisition of imports of the necessary components and materials.

The President agreed with the proposal of JSC Uzagrotechsanoatholding, the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on granting a deferment of the debt of machine and tractor fleet that are part of JSC Uzagrostechsanoatholding for compulsory payments to the budget and state trust funds as of January 1 2018 for a period of 2 years.
